Which baby dalia is best? benefits and recipes

If you have ever eaten dalia in your childhood, you might remember how tasty and delicious it is. The little baby gets good nutritious foods by eating dalia on regular basis.

Every mother takes full care of their children’s food right from the beginning.

In our time, our mothers used to take care that whatever we eat is nutritious and can lead to our physical and mental development.

But now the time has changed. Parents are so busy with their work that they do not even have time for their children.

Due to this reason, most of the children nowadays have made a habit of eating food from outside. Because of this, children are more ill and at the age of 10 to 20, they have to suffer from diseases like headache, kidney stones, gastric problems, etc.

So parents should take good care of their children what they eat outside?

Therefore, make your child a habit of eating healthy food right from the beginning.

The one food which you should add in your kids diet after 7-8 months is dalia or broken wheat.

Is dalia good for baby?

Yes, dalia is good for your baby. There are many health benefits of dalia. It is well nutritious which makes it a healthy choice for your kids. Dalia is rich in vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and protein. Also, it has dietary fiber which helps to relieve constipation in your baby.

It makes your children strong and also gives them a good body growth.

Which baby dalia is best?

Finely granulated dalia or broken wheat is best for your baby because it is easy to swallow and digest. Small broken wheat or balia cooks quickly and your child does not even need to chew it. They can swallow it directly.

But the problem is no brand is giving dalia in very small broken wheat form.

“Don’t worry, I have a solution for it which I personally use.”

You can grind dalia in grinder before cooking it for baby. It also gives you the freedom of grinding it until you get the desired form.

According to me, dalia powder for baby is the best option. It neither changes it nutritional value nor its taste. Also, powdered form has a better consistency on cooking than broken wheat form.

So, patanjali dalia is best for baby which you can buy and cook with any recipe. The best part of it is that it is better in taste than the other brands.

I know you might be thinking that dalia is made up of broken wheat.

So, how the different brands of dalia can differ in taste?

May be it is because of the quality of wheat and as you know patanjali is known for its high quality and genuine products.

How to make dalia for baby?

Preparing dalia for baby is very simple. But, you have to make it tasty because in cases of kids, taste matters the most which ultimately affects whether your baby will like the food which you are giving to him or not.

So, I have two tasty recipes for making dalia for your little ones.

  • Sweet Dalia
  • Dalia Upma

Sweet Dalia recipe for babies

Sweet dish is better for babies because children like sweet food more.

So, we will first know how to make sweet Dalia? We are also called sweet Dalia as dalia Kheer.

To prepare this, you need some ingredients which I have listed below:

  • Daliya
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Almonds and cashew nuts (optional)

Before we know about the procedure, let me clear you that you can soak the dalia for some hours or overnight. It will reduce the cooking time which will help you to prepare it easily in less time.

Let us start the recipe.

First, put a pan on a medium flame gas stove. Now, add dalia (soaked or dry), sugar and milk in it. You can also add almonds and cashew nuts if your baby is more than 18 months old.

Allow it to cook on medium heat.

You have to stir it after every 30 seconds or else it will start to stick with pan.

There is no fixed time to say in how many time it will be ready. This is because different dalia takes different time to cook. And you are using dalia in powdered form, then surely, it will take 10 minutes to ready.

In general, broken wheat takes around 20-25 minutes to cook properly.

After it prepared, allow it to cool and then, you can give it to your baby.

Veg dalia or upma dalia for babies

Although, I know that children often likes sweet dalia more than salty one.

But, if your baby does not likes sweet dish or he/she is already having sugar from other foods daily, then it is good to chose salty dalia with veggies.

So, this required more ingredients than the previous one. I have given below the list of ingredients which you need to prepare this dish.

  • Oil (1 tbsp)
  • Onion
  • Carrot
  • Dalia
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt

As I said earlier, you can use soaked dalia to save your time.

Now, first, warm a pan on gas stove on medium flame. Put the oil in the pan and allow it to warm.

After that, add onion in the pan and allow it to cook until it becomes light brownish in colour.

Then, add dalia, turmeric powder, salt and water (according to quantity) in it. Also, you can add carrot at this time or after cooking because raw carrot is very much nutritious.

Cook it for atleast 20-25 minutes and also check it yourself whether it is prepared or not.

You can now serve it to your baby.

Now, the final conclusion is that dalia is one of the best option to start with for your kids.

It is enriched with healthy vitamins and minerals along with carbs and fiber which is essential for better development of your baby.

The best part is it is purely vegetarian and you will cook it on your own which makes it a healthy homemade dish for your little kids.

So, don’t wait and start giving it to your kids.
